Between school, hours of homework, sports, and family life, consistency in music practice at home can be tough. Here are simple ways to keep practicing music easy:

Make practice easier

  • Pick a consistent practice time. Right after school and right after dinner are both excellent times to practice. During the summer months, morning practice tends to work best.

  • Keep your sessions short and frequent. 4-5 days a week is perfect!

  • Don't just "play through" your songs. Work on small sections and pay attention to detail. Make absolutely sure you get a little better every time you practice.

  • Ask your teacher for at-home recordings and videos to make practicing more effective.
